HOW TO TEE IT UP AT THE OLD COURSE
CAN I BOOK A TEE TIME ON THE OLD COURSE?
The old course is a public course owned by the town of St. Andrews, meaning that anyone can get a tee time. Due to its immense popularity, tee times are extremely sought after. There is a ballot system in place; entry closes at 2.15pm two days prior to the day of play. From there you have to hope you have the lucky ticket and your name appears on the tee sheet.
CAN I BOOK A TEE TIME THROUGH KINNETTLES GOLF?
At Kinnettles Golf we are a Links Trust authorised provider. All of our guaranteed Old Course tee times are included in unique packages where we arrange a minimum of a 5-day trip. DO WE NEED TO TRAVEL AS A FOURBALL?
Typically we encourage travel in groups of four. We understand that this isn’t always possible and we do our very best to cater for everyone, regardless of the number of guests. Get in touch and let us know your individual needs.
WHAT OTHER COURSES CAN I PLAY?
The guaranteed Old Course tee time comes with a round on the breath taking Castle Course at St. Andrews. Additionally we have access to any other course in Scotland. Our most popular are St. Andrews New, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Turnberry and Muirfield. As of summer 2020 we are proud to be offering the brand new Dumbarnie Links.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR PLAYING THE OLD COURSE?
The Old Course has a handicap limit of 24 for men and 36 ladies. An official handicap card or certificate needs to be provided at time of play. It is always worth noting the tradition that the Old Course is closed on a Sunday and pre booked times are not possible on Saturdays.
HOW CAN I ENTER THE OLD COURSE BALLOT?
Should you choose not to book one of our guaranteed tee time options, we are happy to enter the ballot for you. We understand that it is everyone’s dream to play at The Home of Golf and should you have a successful ballot entry we will adjust your itinerary to accommodate this, making your trip unforgettable.
CAN I BOOK A TOUR WITHOUT PLAYING THE OLD COURSE?
Although The Old Course is our most popular course, we can arrange tours to any course in Scotland. Get in touch and we can start building your dream trip.
DO YOU CATER FOR NON-GOLFING GUESTS?
Whether it’s a couple’s trip or you have clients that do not play golf, we cater for everyone. We can arrange many other activities to keep the non-golfers occupied. Having a private chauffeur for your entire trip means that anywhere in Scotland can be toured whilst the rest of the party play golf.
